Crosswordese is the set of short, vowel-heavy words that show up far more often in crossword grids than in ordinary English — ETUI, ERNE, OLEO, ESNE — because they fit awkward letter patterns. This page is a rendering of my Anki deck of them: 194 cards, grouped by category, with the picture clues attached to the cards.
